The Art of Transferring Faith: Five Timeless Principles for Shaping Hearts
Christian education is not merely about choosing the right curriculum, mastering the right methods, or achieving the right academic outcomes. According to Proverbs, true education begins with the fear of the Lord and aims at the shaping of the whole heart before God. In this article, we explore five timeless principles for transferring faith to the next generation: wisdom is caught before it is taught, transmitted through imitation, forged through friction, directed with deliberate care, and guarded from rival voices. But above all, we remember that education cannot save us. Only Christ, the wisdom of God made flesh, can resurrect dead hearts, straighten crooked arrows, and teach us by His Spirit to walk in the way everlasting.
From Puritan to Pornographic
New England once built schools so children could read the Scriptures and resist “that old deluder, Satan.” Today, those same institutions catechize children in a radically different gospel. In this essay, I trace how public education in America moved from Puritan covenantal formation to modern secular liturgy, and why Christians must recover a distinctly Christian vision of education before another generation is lost.
The Foundation of Christian Education
Modern education has confused information with wisdom, producing a civilization overflowing with knowledge yet collapsing in moral and spiritual darkness. Proverbs teaches that the fear of the Lord is not a supplement to true education, but its very foundation, because every discipline in creation finds its meaning beneath the Lordship of Christ. Apart from Him, all human learning eventually corrodes into pride, futility, and rebellion, but in Christ, wisdom is restored and knowledge finally finds its proper purpose.
Raising Dangerous Children: Part 3 Of “Educating Our Children”
“Your child was not made to blend into Babylon. Your child was not called to fit in, keep quiet, and color inside the lines of a world that hates Christ. Your child was born to storm the gates of Hell. And if we do not train them to do so, we should not be surprised when they start decorating the gates instead."
The Battle For Minds: Part 1 Of “Educating Our Children”
“The most important war of the next hundred years won’t be fought in Washington, Moscow, or Beijing—it will be fought in your living room.”
Christ or Caesar? The Myth of Neutrality in Education
"Every classroom is either a cathedral of truth or a temple of lies. Education is not about academics — it is about allegiance.""
